Privacy & storage

AltOffice is operated by AltStack LLC. Your Office documents, saved versions, account identity and access permissions are stored in our Railway project. The collaborative editors run in that same project using Euro-Office.

Your account

Sign-in and public account creation use AltStack Social’s browser connection flow. Office receives your account ID, name and handle after you approve the request. It immediately revokes the temporary Social access token and creates a separate Office session. Office does not store your Social password or access token. Office sessions expire after seven days.

Your files

Files are private unless you share them. An invitation link lets anyone with that link and an AltStack account accept the selected access level. Invitations expire after seven days; accepted access continues until the owner revokes sharing. Collaborators can download files. Revoking access cannot recall copies already downloaded or immediately close an editor that is already open.

Initial storage limits are 25 MB per file and 100 MB per account, including saved versions. The service has a shared storage limit. Deleting a file permanently removes its saved versions from the active store and revokes access. Infrastructure backups may retain earlier data according to the operator’s backup settings.

Support and deletion

Delete your files from each file’s options menu. For account records or privacy questions, use AltStack support. No automated retention policy for Office account identity or infrastructure backups is claimed.

Open source

The portal is open source under AGPL-3.0-only. Editors retain ONLYOFFICE branding and notices. The Inter font is licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
